Ember Stripe

Table linens, hand-finished
Byyavasca cuts, prints and hems every cloth to order — round, oval or rectangular — so the table you set is the one you actually own.
No two batches dyed the same — that's the point.

The workroom
Byyavasca started at a single cutting table shared by three people who kept getting asked to fix tablecloths that never fit — too short on one side, too long on the other, printed off-grain.
So we build every cloth around your table, not a standard size chart. The fabric is chosen first, the drop measured second, and the hem sewn by hand last — the part a machine hem can't fake.
Hem guide
How it's made
Four steps, in order — each one depends on the one before it.
01
Pick a weight and weave from the swatch rail, or request a sample set posted to you.
02
Round, rectangular or oval — cut to your table's exact drop, not a nearest-fit standard.
03
Plain hem, scalloped edge, or a hand-embroidered border in one of four thread colours.
04
Sewn, pressed and folded in tissue in our workroom, then shipped flat to keep the crease out.
Custom sizing
Measure the tabletop, then add your preferred drop — the length hanging past the edge. Most dining tables sit well with a 25–30cm drop; a floor-length drop for a console runs closer to 60cm.
| Table | Cloth (with 28cm drop) |
|---|---|
| Round, 90cm | 150cm round |
| Round, 120cm | 180cm round |
| Rectangular, 90×150cm | 150×210cm |
| Rectangular, 100×200cm | 160×260cm |
| Oval, 110×180cm | 170×240cm |
Between sizes? Send your table's measurements and we'll cut to match.
Notes from the table
"Fit our oval table on the first try — no folding the corners under like every off-the-shelf cloth we'd bought before."
— Sunday dinners, six years running
"The Olive Block Print has been through four holiday tables and still presses out like new."
— Holiday host, extended family of eleven
"Ordered the Vine Border for a wedding and asked for the same trim on napkins after. Worth the wait."
